Our Humanitarian 2019

Each year, the Human Relations Commission partners with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools to recognize students who exemplify positive human relations in their dealings with others on such issues as anti-bullying, race relations, religion, disabilities, and cultural differences. These students are honored at an annual Human Relations Student Awards Banquet. This year, we were honored to select Baker Almatroud, 5th grade student, to receive the Human Relations Award for our school.

A student from each public school in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, as well as from some private schools, was honored in February at the 39th annual Human Relations Student Awards Banquet.  The banquet was held at the Embassy Suites hotel on Cherry St.
