PBIS/PAWS

Schoolwide expectations are important for consistent management as well as school pride and spirit.  This year, we are continuing to enhance our PBIS/PAWS System, utilizing themes related to our tiger mascot.

First of all, we have school wide expectations around the school that are loosely based on the PAWS acronym:

P-Prepared

A-A+ Attitude

W-Work Responsibly

S-Show Respect

As individual students follow these expectations, they are awarded with "PAWS Bucks," and the bucks can be spent quarterly at our "PAWS R Us" Store.  Students purchase items such as small toys, fun school supplies, snacks, collectibles, etc.

This year, we also added "Class PAWS Bucks," which was adapted from the previous "token" system used in Specials.  Classes can earn one or two class paws bucks in Specials daily, but classes can also earn these bucks from any and all teachers when following expectations in the hallway, during lunch, etc.  Classes with the most Class PAWS Bucks each quarter are awarded with prizes delivered to their room my our mascot, Taz, the Tiger.

To remind students of PAWS Expectations and begin our day on a positive note, each morning we also recite our "Tiger Affirmation":

"We Will Show Our PAWS Today,

When We Study Work and Play.

Being Prepared will Take Us Far;

A+ Attitude to Be a Star.

Work Responsibly in All We Do.

Showing Respect for Me and You.

We Will Show Our PAWS Today,

When We Study Work and Play."

Thank you students for showing your Tiger Pride and being PAWSome...

Thank you parents for reviewing expectations at home...

Thank you to all parents, teachers, and community partners who have made donations and contributions to our PAWS R Us Store.
