Parent Academy has changed the face of Parent Engagement and Parental Involvement at Diggs-Latham Elementary A+ Magnet School for Arts Integration and Performance. Much of the success of our Parent Engagement Program is due to the efforts, organization, and planning of our new Parent Engagement Coordinator, Ms. Shanta Reddick, who joined the school family in August 2019.
Parent Academy has offered hands on experiences as well as small group meetings, lectures, and conferences throughout the year. Our learning series included sessions on Social and Emotional Learning, PowerSchool Learning, and general Tips and Tricks for a Successful School Year. We also held Literacy and Math Nights and Family/Teacher Learning Conferences.
