Reading & Math Night

As Dr. Dobson says, "When we are always reading, we are always learning, and don't forget to do a little math." When you are doing math, make it count. While we are an A+ Magnet School that celebrates and learns through the Arts, our efforts in the Arts and Arts Integration always focus on Academics. We look for ways to help students make connections between Arts and Academics as well as Academics and their lives.

Annually, we hold a Math Night and a Reading Night to give parents the opportunity to visit classrooms and learn ways to support math and literacy at home. Math Night and Reading Night consisted of grade level meetings, a scavenger hunt, time for socializing over snacks, a Book Fair, and even opportunities to take home books and math kits. Each curriculum night offered a hands-on, Arts Integration Session in the gym. The Arts Team facilitated while students led parents in reading and math activities that incorporated music and instruments.

Thank you teachers and families for making our Curriculum Nights so successful.
