5th Grade Promotional Ceremony

Congratulations to our 2023 5th grade class, the graduating class of 2030, on all their accomplishments and a beautiful promotional ceremony. They sang to their families, "Count on Me." Our keynote speaker, Dr. Timisha Barnes-Jones, Inspire340 area Superintendent, challenged students to:

“Believe in yourself, trust in your abilities, and know that you are capable of achieving greatness,” was one piece of advice that Dr. TBJ shared to remind students to pursue their dreams through good character.
She ended by saying, “Embrace the journey, follow your dreams, and always remember that the greatest adventures await those who dare to believe in themselves.”

Fourth grade ambassadors helped lead students in and out of the space while the Arts Team supported and awarded 11 A+ Magnet Awards. Each student crossed the stage while 5th grade teachers, Mr. Algarin, Ms. Heaton, Mr. Legette, Mrs. Seymour, and Mrs. Woodard called their name and listed their awards and accomplishments.

The ceremony ended with Dr. Dobson challenging students to do their best and show their best character. Family and friends joined 5th graders at a reception after the ceremony.
