Weaving Workshop: An In-House Field Trip

We are so fortunate to have many business partners, volunteers, and community partners who support our school, students and teachers daily.  One of our partners continues to be Delta Fine Arts Center, a local art gallery, and one of their Board Members and Field Trip Coordinator, Mrs. Peggy Moore.  Mrs. Moore, along with her husband who volunteers in Mrs. Michelle Moore's 5th grade class, joined Mrs. Gordon and the 5th grade class during a recent art class and presented on the topic of fiber art.  Mrs. Peggy Moore is a quilter but also enjoys weaving, which she presented to the students.  She brought cardboard looms, ribbon for weaving, jewelry embellishments for students to use to complete a finished piece to take home.
