2018 Fall Festival

The last Thursday evening of October, hallways, a few classrooms, and the gym were filled with pumpkins, sunflowers, scarecrows, costumes and more, thanks to our Parent Teacher Association Board, PTA President, Mr. Sydney Bernal, Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Julie Wright, AIG Teacher, Mrs. Mary Winterhalder, Parent Liaison, Ms. Diane Herrera and other teachers and staff.  Fall Festival was a family-fun night full of games, prizes, candy, food, baskets and raffles.  Several highlights of the night include the Dance Party Room managed by Band Teacher, Mr. Rick Sigler, with his DJ Equipment, the Spooky Room set up by Mrs. Julie Wright and the kindergarten team, and the face-painting station, coordinated by Dance Teacher, Mrs. Amanda Nelson and Art Teacher, Mrs. Amanda Gordon.  Each grade level organized a game in the gym from tic-tac-toe with miniature pumpkins to candy corn bowling.  Parents especially enjoyed the cake walk activity and themed basket raffle.  Fall Festival was a wonderful way to celebrate the new season, wrap up first quarter, and collaborate across grade levels, and utilize our parent volunteers.  Thanks again PTA and Fall Festival Committee for organizing a successful event.
