Diggs-Latham turned 10 Years Old

Diggs-Latham Elementary A+ Magnet School for Arts Integration and Performance opened it's doors to students for the first time in August 2010.  Diggs-Latham was a school merger of Jefferson Davis Diggs Elementary School and Rowland Hill Latham Elementary School.  Each school had a rich history that set a foundation for building a new school family with its own traditions.

Even though we are engaged in remote learning, we planned a week of events and activities as a virtual birthday party to celebrate the anniversary of our school opening.

P.A.W.S. Expectations

As you know, our school mascot is a Tiger, and we often show our Tiger Pride by wearing black and orange or using our school colors in events and celebrations.  We also make connections to our tiger mascot through our school-wide expectations.

When we are in the physical school building, posters and signs around the hallways and classrooms remind students of our PAWS Expectations.

We are continuing to use our PAWS Expectations in remote learning, even though it may look a little differently.

As students follow the PAWS Expectations, they will have a chance to earn a "PAWSome Award" and receive a shout-out from their teachers.

Teachers will give shout outs during their live class meetings as well as through announcements on their Canvas Page as students show "PAWSome" behavior as well as attend all their class meetings and Specials daily.
